On paid accounts, yes — your browser asks permission when you check in, and if you allow it, your GPS coordinates are saved with that check-in. On mobile devices with GPS hardware, this is precise. On desktop, it uses Wi-Fi/IP (city-level accuracy). You can always decline the permission and check in without GPS. Trial accounts use the text note only.

Your browser asks for location permission the first time you check in. If you clicked "Block," GPS will silently fail on every future check-in. Here's how to reset it:

Tap the 🔒 lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Location → Allow → reload.

Safari (iPhone / Mac)

Go to Settings → Safari → Location → find heyimstillalive.com → set to Allow. On Mac: Safari → Settings → Websites → Location → find the site → Allow.

Firefox

Click the 🔒 lock icon → Connection Secure → More Information → Permissions tab → Access Your Location → click Clear stored setting → reload and allow when asked again.

Every check-in is logged with its timestamp, your note, and GPS location (if captured). You can review your history on the dashboard. If you ever miss a check-in, your contacts receive an alert email with your last 3 check-ins — giving them a timeline of where you were and what your plans were.
